DIY Vitamin C Serum
You’ll Need:
1/2 tsp natural vitamin C powder
1 tbsp distilled water OR 1 tsp distilled water to dissolve and 2 tbsp vegetable glycerine
A dark coloured container to store your serum (Vitamin C oxidises easily)
Directions:
Dissolve the vitamin C powder in the water. If you are only using water, then you’re done. Store your mixture in a dark container and it’ll keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
If you’re using the glycerine, dissolve your vitamin C in the 1 tsp of distilled water, then stir in the glycerine. The serum with the glycerine will last a month or longer in the fridge.
What’s the Difference Between Using Just Water or Using Glycerine?
There are two main differences:
- The glycerine will make your potion last a long longer
- The glycerine will deliver a softer, smoother finish
Benefits of the Vitamin C Serum
- Great for wrinkles and/or fine lines
- Softens skin
- Evens skin tone
- Gets rid of dark spots
- Brightens and tightens skin
