Cucumber Eye Gel - make your own

Cucumber Eye Gel - make your own

I love eye gels and have used them on and off for years. I finally found one I really, really liked but the maker changed the recipe. I decided it was time to have a go at making my own.

So here is my ridiculously simple recipe for cucumber eye gel.

Cucumber Eye Gel

You need:

110g aloe vera gel
1 medium sized cucumber

Wash, peel and chop the cucumber. Blend until liquid. Stain the liquid through cheesecloth or a very fine sieve. You need to remove all the "bits" so you may need to strain the cucumber liquid a couple of times.

Place the aloe vera gel in a bowl and mix in 2 tablespoons of the cucumber juice. Pour into a small glass with a secure lid. Shake, then chill for at least one hour before using.

Apply under and around your eyes at night. This will keep for approximately three months when stored in the fridge.
